Color your Yard’s design concept starts by getting acquainted with our customer…  After years of experiences we know the home owner really has in
mind a style, and a desire of how they would like their
yard to function; they often don’t have the skills or plant knowledge to achieve this goal.  We at ‘Color Your Yard’ are here to create the utmost design that fits the customer’s individual style; our objective is to provide a personal oasis that gives the home owner an everyday
get away in the privacy of their own yard.

The first visit is key to learning the wants and aspirations of the customer (so we will ask the home owner to make a list of plants and colors that they would like and ones they definitely object to and to provide us with pictures from magazines or books).

      • Measure the property
      • And take pictures of the yard

Everyone is limited to time, plant awareness, and even desire to work in their yards; but a
great design can provide beauty, function, and easy maintenance.  This is where ‘Color Your Yard’ shines above other designers; we keep up on the new plant introductions, knowledge of the California natives and drought resistant plants, and familiarized with the size, growth habits, and best location of plant material so when designing your yard we are picking the best plant for the area.

The second visit would be to present to you our design concept which includes:
      • A topographical layout to the scale of the property
      • A visual perception drawing
      • Along with pictures of each plant in the design
      • A detailed list of plants, materials, and cost

After presenting the design we would then go over any changes that might be needed to insure our client the yard they desire.  When everything is satisfactory we would set up a time table and a start to install date.
